Ness Island Walk

This is an easy walk and easy to get to from the hostel. It is one of the most pleasant things that you can do in Inverness City itself. A walk along this part of the river will take you past the castle, churches and gardens. To get to the river just go out the front door, turn left and keep going straight. Once you get to the bridge turn left along the river, this is by far the prettiest part of town. Go as far as the islands which are connected by bridges and then walk back on the other side to make a loop. If it’s the right season you can see the fishermen standing in the river, don’t disturb them!!
